MX-5.
New = less problems
It is more economical.
Convertible is much cooler.
Cheaper.
You don’t want to know what people do in their cars…
You can also choose a colour that you want the most.(Unless the boxster is that colour.)

i would go with a Mazda not for power but there are more places to repair them if you do have trouble with something as for a boxer it might be riped off and striped before you can even brake it in. ask why they are selling and what is the history it might be a recovery car. or a teen drove it and hot roded it to death have it inspected first by a outside source. it might be a good deal but go over it real good don’t miss anything. down to the ash try and up to the last oil change

PS have them put a full warranty on it for no extra $ if its a good car they will do it if they know it has trouble they will say cant do that be cause its used then don’t even bother.

The mx-5. It’s a cool car, everyone will look after ya (with an exception: if u live in LA ). No problems. The boxster is the cheapest porsche

$39k with 40k miles seems like an over the top price to me. For the $7k you’d save you could easily get better peformance than a Boxster S out the MX-5. Plus being Porsche you’ll pay more in parts in the course of having the car than it’s practically worth.Either way the Boxster really isn’t anything special. It’s just a faster, overpriced MX-5 (because of its heritage).

Now I would consider it totally different if it was a 2 year old Cayman S for $39k.
